Upcoming Training

Subject: BIZeBEARS work flow system follow up training.

Student Affairs has implemented a workflow system for H.R. Transactions. We are currently using paper forms. However, beginning November 1, 2011, all transactions will be processed using BIZeBEARS ( a paperless system) that will minimize email traffic, consolidate information gathering and provide a tracking system for all H. R. Transactions

Center Directors, Timesheet Coordinators, Financial Analysts and Administrative Support are highly encouraged to attend the follow up training session. You will be able to learn about updates with the BIZ-e-BEARS work flow system.

October 17, 2011 – 2:30pm – 4:00pm

Conference Room 222 – B-Level

BIZeBEARS follow up training will be conducted by Sandra Colonna

We are currently using some paper forms. Beginning November 1, 2011, all H.R. transactions will be processed using BIZeBEARS

From: Human Resources

The Berkeley campus is moving towards a new automated timekeeping system called Kronos by July 2012. This system will replace the paper time sheet that we are currently using. The Timekeeping Initiative is funded and supported as part of Operation Excellence and is aligned with the systemwide “Work Smarter” activities.

Operational Excellence (OE) Timekeeping Initiative

The Timekeeping Initiative will migrate all Berkeley departments and units to a common campuswide timekeeping system called Kronos by July 2012. This new system will provide automated integration into the systemwide payroll solution, dramatically reduce errors, increase efficiency, automate approvals, eliminate redundancies, and decrease workloads for department payroll personnel.

This initiative is funded and supported as part of Operational Excellence and is aligned with the systemwide “Working Smarter” activities. The Timekeeping Initiative will work closely with the OE Program Office and other OE funded programs: http://oe.berkeley.edu/
