Email Migration

Our designated email ‘move’ date is coming soon: over the weekend of the
15th-18th the migration process first reroutes each user’s incoming
email messages from CalMail to bMail, then copies CalMail folders and
messages to bMail.  There should be little or no disruption of regular
work activities.

Do _NOT_ do any last minute reorganization of your folders in CalMail!

The LHS migration begins Friday, 15th February at 5:00 pm.

When you return to work on Monday, February 18th, your email migration
should be complete. All your email will be waiting for you in bMail, and
all of your bConnected tools -- bCal, bDrive, and bMail -- are
accessible using a single login via a web browser.  If you are new to
these tools, consider the training options available and prepare to use
bMail.

There may be a need to continue to use your desktop client (Thunderbird,
Mac mail, etc.). The usual reasons for doing this are a heavy investment
in Local Folders, integration of many mail accounts from disparate
services, encrypted email handling, or a need to work on mail offline
while traveling. Please put in a Kaseya request for mail client
reconfiguration in the usual way. CTI support staff will be handling
these requests as expeditiously as possible.

Departmental email accounts will also migrate as part of the batch
process.  If you are responsible for a departmental account and need
assistance setting up a key or delegation, please contact CTI or
bConnected@berkeley.edu for information on how to access and configure
these accounts.

After your move, your CalMail will be ‘read only’ but you may still
access it using your old login should you need information saved there,
such as a contact list. CalMail will continue to be available for at
least 60 days following the migration.

Please let us know if you have any questions regarding our migration
