The Hall Plaza lit up at a prior Benefit event
The Evening
5:00–9:00 pm

Breakthrough technologies have the potential to address big problems with radical solutions. But technological advances are outpacing educational innovation. Dr. Astro Teller is currently Captain of Moonshots (CEO) of X, Alphabet’s (parent company of Google) moonshot factory for building magical, audacious ideas that through science and technology can be brought to reality. He will discuss these opportunities and challenges in a stimulating presentation at this event. A question-and-answer session will follow his talk.

The event will also feature:

  • Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres among the Hall’s exhibits
  • Opportunities to network with influential leaders in science, technology, academic, and nonprofit fields
  • An elegant seated dinner
  • A spirited Fund the Future activity at which guests will be invited to raise their paddles in support of the Hall’s new Inventors’ Lab

Support for the Lawrence Hall of Science will help to activate our next generation of diverse scientists, educators, and citizens—locally and globally—through the Hall’s innovative and effective STEM programs.
