Farm Field Studies
Farm Field Studies brings children and young adults from around the Bay Area to local farms. Students have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning where they make connections between the environment, agriculture, and the food they eat. Our goal is to empower young people to make food choices that will positively impact their long-term health. Knowledge of where food comes from is a powerful tool for teaching good nutrition and environmental stewardship.

Starting with one small farmers' market in Davis that was founded by Kathy and Martin and fellow students while in grad-school and a few gourmet restaurants that understood the superior principles and quality of organic agriculture, Capay Fruits & Vegetables slowly developed a market for its produce. By the early 90's Capay Fruits & Vegetables was an established small, family organic farm supplying Bay Area stores, restaurants and farmers' markets with quality organic produce.

The Forestry Institute for Teachers (FIT) is a multi-day residence workshop held at 4 northern California locations. The goal of FIT is to provide K-12 teachers with knowledge, skills and tools to effectively teach their students about forest ecology and forest resource management practices.
Friends of the River Foundation
Friends of the River was founded in 1973 during the struggle to save the Stanislaus River from New Melones Dam. Following that campaign, the group grew to become California's statewide river conservation organization. Friends of the River is dedicated to preserving and restoring California's rivers, streams, and their watersheds as well as advocating for sustainable water management.
Friends of the Sea Otter
Friends of the Sea Otter (FSO) is an advocacy group dedicated to actively working with state and federal agencies to maintain the current protections for sea otters as well as to increase and broaden these preservation efforts. We wish to inspire the public at large about the otters' unique behavior and habitat.
Foothill Conservancy
Foothill Conservancy, an environmental nonprofit works on land use and water resource issues in the Sierra Nevada counties of Amador and Calaveras (and beyond). One of our main campaigns at this time is seeking Wild and Scenic River designation for 37 miles of the Mokelumne River (which provides 90% of the drinking water to East Bay Municipal Utility District's customers).

Golden Gate Transit
Based in San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District operates the Golden Gate Bridge, and two public transit systems: Golden Gate Transit buses and Golden Gate Ferry. Last year 40 million vehicles crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and 11 million customers rode the transit systems.
Golden Gate National Parks Conservany
The LINC program is a 6-week long summer program for high school students from all over the bay area. During the six weeks 18 high school students will experience lots of different types of work that happen in the GGNRA while having lots of fun and gaining valuable job experience. On the last day of the program the students get a $1000 stipend and 3units of transferable college credit.

Green Planet Films is a non-profit distributor of nature and environmental DVDs from around the globe. We promote environmental education through film. Greenbelt Alliance
In 1958, Dorothy Erskine, Jack Kent and colleagues founded Citizens for Regional Recreation and Parks (CRRP), an organization of environmentally concerned individuals and groups that would later become Greenbelt Alliance. CRRP was created to protect parks and recreational areas in the Bay Area.

Founded in 1970, Slide Ranch is a non-profit teaching farm located at a historic coastal dairy perched above the ocean in the Marin Headlands within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA). US Army Corps of Engineers (San Francisco District)
